You can always have a "scene selection" button/submenu, just like the big boys do it, that way you don't clutter up your front end, but you still have navigation both internal to the project (chapter markers), and with a menu driven interface.

A very relevant question these days I think.
Ten years ago you could sell the "old people die/kids are born" benefits of professional wedding video. Today not so much - too many video cameras. So creating a more exciting video is essential if you want to make a living. If the bride wants a full length blow-by-blow version of the day your creative opportunities are limited. Promoting a less rigid approach and getting the bride on board is step 1. Once you accomplish that I think you then can look at the wedding day as five or six different sequences - prep/ceremony/cocktail hour/speeches/dances etc. and work out the best way to shoot and edit each sequence. Using a different approach to each sequence will often also create a more dramatic final product. |

You can take a look at the DVD menu I created for a wedding couple. It has several menus and chapter selection screens. Since they are a Chinese couple, I gave them English/Chinese language selection too.
LA Color - Wedding Photography and Videography serving Great Los Angeles Areas (Click the "Next" button on the bottom to proceed to the main menu screen. None of the video will play. It's just the flash generated by Encore to see disk navigation only)
