So Jay, tell us AE rookies on how to get better on using this software. I recently got my copy a few months ago and still barely scracthing the surface. Any recommendation on books, training cd's, website, etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would appreciate it though.

By the way great work on the video including the ones on your site.

Thanks. Jon.
I'm using PC.
Can you post some link? (I really want to try)
I'm also having hard time with camera funtion in AE.

Thanks. Ray.
On-line Training (No free) is very helpful to start AE.

Sorry for short & poor reply. English is not my 1st language.

Jay,

Send me a email to jeast@championwindow.com.

AE training is really good at www.vtc.com, it cost's $30 a month. Spend the $30 and use thing training on After Effects 6. It will have you off the ground running instead of fumbling around for weeks.

Jay, the video looks awesome! I'm gaining a lot of new ideas from watching and re-watching your video.

I've done a lot of slideshows when I was at a photo/video company for 8 years and because we were under time constraints, we couldn't make our shows as creative as yours. Now that I'm on my own, I'm learning a lot from watching what others are doing and trying to a little more creativity into my own work. (I never realized how boring our stuff looked compared to everyone else)

One quick question. Just before the skywriting shot, there's a bird flying across the frame - was that on location or added in afterwards in After Effects? Just curious...

Hi Jay, I loved your video, you are very tallented. If I could do that in two days I would be so happy. My question is... are the stills frame grabs from video or shot with a still camera? Thanks for the help. TAG

The questions just don't stop huh?

In the last shot, it looked like you were using film because of the shallow DOF, or was it my imagination? Did you use all your own equipment for capturing the media? Or did they provide some of the stuff (besides the photos of them as kids).

Also, what kind of equipment are you using?
