Filming in dark environment ? :(
Hey guys,
I have a 35mm adapter on my Canon HV30. Now the problem is that it needs lots of light, but when I do the bridal prep it's most of the times in very dark rooms. Result ... A LOT OF Grain. :( So what do you advice ? Using just a little oncamera light because that is portable or taking an external lamp with me just in case that the room is dark, so I can just plug it in and lighten it up ? |

Lose the adapter, the DOF quality you gain does not help since your picture is grainy, most brides won't notice the extra DOF however they will notice grain and your professional name will suffer as a result, it's not always practical to carry a light around either.

Id say use the HV30 & DOF adapter at other times during the day where the light allows and shoot the prep with your main cam (Im assuming the HV30 isnt your main cam). The combo you have is great put youve pointed out its limitation, so it makes sense to work within it.
