Improve on Story Telling and Music integration
hi everyone,
I've been in the wedding videography for about 3 years, learned camera and editing stuffs enough for survival. In this current day, I'm looking for some ways to improve on skills like story telling and music integration. How to make a story interesting ?? or how to make the audience 'wow'... seen many superb videos from industry leaders with many compelling stories that will make the audience wow, wondering how they did that ? were they born storytellers ?? And music integration.. how did they pick the right music for that feel ? or how they make the movie flow with the music ala-Jmag style. You give him slow music or fast music, he will match it with the video superbly.. Any interesting way to improve ourselves besides those usual 'watch more videos from the leaders'. Any suggestion on what you guys did is greatly appreciated. Please share if you have any interesting books .. or sites to read up for additional enhancement. |

Hi,
I'm no industry leader, but I believe that everyone got their own unique style. watching other people's great work is a tool to open your eyes of what is there in the world, which is great! But I think developing your own style is the key to a great work. Cause if you got a solid strong style, people would recognise you from your work straight away. I'd recommend watching a lot of movies, making a lot of movies and talking about a lot of movies! cause movies are all about stories, and stories are to be told, hence storytelling. Santo
