Shutter speed for football
Ive been asked to film our islands football team games and was wondering what shutter speed is gonna work best the motion of football
obviously ill shoot 1080/50i and i was thinking a shutter of 1/100 will this surfice?? unfortuanlty being busy i cant do any testers apart form me kicking a ball around . badly luke |

Luke,
I shoot American football here in Texas for the local high schools using A1s. During the day, 1/100 works great. Depending on the lighting of the stadium at night, sometimes we had to go down to 1/60 to get a good image. But sports generally look awesome at 1/100 in my experience, day or night, with decent stadium lighting. Good luck!
