Additional shoe mount

Dear all,

I am mainly into event videography. I have recently purchased a firestore FS-4HD (managed to get a good deal) and mounted it on the shoe mount of a DSR-250P.

The problem is that now I am left without a shoe mount for light. Do you know of any alternative ways in which I will be able to mount both FS-4 and light to my camera. I believe that some kind of handle mounted shoe-mount will do because I will then be able to mount the FS-4 on the handle.

Many thanks,
Chris

since you're using either V lock batteries or Anton Bauer batteries you can get a side mounting plate by either BEC for the V lock or BEC or Anton Bauer for the AB batteries. You can mount the FS to that and not only have the shoe for a light but it will help to balance the camera better. BEC even makes a mounting box for the Firestore.

Hi,

Many thanks for your reply. I looked at BEC products and a solution is quite expensive $90 for the bracket and another $90 for the firestore mount.

What I was looking for was a non expensive additional shoe mount...if there exists one...

Many thanks,
Chris
