Music for commercials (wedding related)
I advertise in a local wedding guide that also has a website. I was contacted by one of the owners who is interested in having 30sec. commercials on the site for their advertisers and wants me to do create them. Shooting and editing the commericals are no problem, what concerns me is the music beds for the commercials. With all the talk about royalty free music here lately I assume I would need to go that route. These commercials will only be shown on the website.
I am going to check out the music sites mentioned in the other threads, where else should I look? I seem to remember Itunes having royalty free music at one time, anyone know if thats still around? Thanks |

There are two sites that I used frequently. freeplaymusic.com which I believe was mentioned before at some point, and stock20.com. Pretty decent music and pretty cheap.

In my past production life we used a place called American Music Company. For royalty free it wasn't terribly expensive.
Firstcom is a pretty big name in royalty free and they have a huge library but they're not the cheapest out there.

You can't legally use it for anything - your demo reel, someone's website, a video for a client, anything at all - unless you have licensed both the music and the master recording from their respective copyright owners.

Another great resource is Triple Scoop Music : Award-winning music for professional photographers and videographers!
Probably one of my favorite in terms of quality. |

I like music by E.S. Posthumus...I know, I doubt any of their music would be good wedding videos. But I do want to know if anybody knows of any artists that make music like theirs but on a royalty free basis.
I tried to do searches on all of the previous websites mentioned above...the problem is that I don't even know how to classify E.S. Posthumus' type of music! |
