Jason, that's awesome. We'll finally get to meet! By the way, I've already been chatting with Bruce to arrange dinner for Monday night, maybe Joe too since he'll be in town with Bruce. Would Monday night for you? Post your cell # or send it to me via PM if you prefer. d;-)

Also, are you going to the "Airhorns & Lasers" party on Sunday night?

We've been attending WPPI for years and I'll say it's almost entirely geared towards photography. One year they did have a 'video class' but it wasn't worth it in my opinion. Our studio provides both photography and cinematography services, so that's why we attend.

Hey Travis,
Yeah, we also offer photo & video.
This is going to be our first year, but I'm only going to the tradeshow.
Not the classes.
It's just for meeting some people there to do business with and looking for new ideas.

Cool. The tradeshow is great for photographers, especially if you've never been before. It's like visiting Santa at the North Pole right before Christmas. d;-)

Even if you're into video you can find a few things to enjoy. Last year I hung for a while at the Tiffen booth and got them to fit me out with a Steadicam Pilot .. and I then ran around the tradeshow floor with it for like 25 minutes just playing

I would ran out the door and never return. hehe :o)
Yeah, I think it will be great.
I have a steadicam Pilot and I have my XHA1 dynamically balanced on it, but I just can't get my 7D dynamically balanced on it and it's driving me crazy.
Maybe they can help me out and Andrew already told me he would bring his so I can try that. ;o)

I've managed to get my 7D dynamically balanced on a pilot.... WAY better than I was ever able to get an A1 balanced. It took a lot of tweaking, but my 7D is looking really solid and flies REALLY well.... also, being able to go 10mm wide helps A LOT. I have the V-Lock model Pilot. Which is yours Bart?

How can you tell the difference ? ;o)
I just bought the Steadicam-Pilot, but I think it was the VLB, but I'm not.
Do you bring your steadicam to WPPI Andrew ?

Yeah, the VLB is the V-Lock version with IDX Batteries. Yeah, I'll bring it! Sorry, I haven't gotten back to you on those movie backlot tours... I'll find out and let you know!

I assume you are coming to NAB as well?

If so, would love to hook up
