Scam Alert for Bridal Network Advertisers

This is the 2nd time I have dealt with a scammer. For those advertising at the Bridal Network, please be wary of this lady, I am witholding her name but I am pasting her email. What alerted me was her ignorance of my location, I advertise under the Ontario province, she gave me a BC address & without the benefit of a contract she is already sending me the money. She'll send you a bogus check & overpay you. If you inform her of the overpayment, she will ask you to give the money to her supposed caterer.

1st email:

Name: xxxxxx
EMail: xxxxxxxxx
Subject: i need your service
I need your service on my wedding the that's why i sent you this message to let you know maybe you to be available for that date 16 of march 2009 and i will like to know your price if you don't mind that. I will wait to read from you soon.

2nd email:

Hello,
How are you doing ,it's really good hear from and the wedding will take place at hall in 110 fair view
kamloops, bc k2b1e6 and you will be working for me for 6 hours and i will like your work to be very clean and clear,i think i told you the date of the wedding day and the time is 11:00 and i don't want any disappointment at all.i will like to know the total price for very thing so that i can arrange for your money

This is a common web scam and it's not limited to Bridal Network. I really can't believe anyone falls for it anymore.

The bad grammar always tips me off. When I get stuff like this I simply request a phone number so that I may speak with them. Scammers don't like to be outted so they usually run/hide when you ask them for any personal info that could potentially verify who they really are.

I don't know. Sounds like Borat is finally getting married.
