Sweet Sixteens?
Hey all, I am new to this forum, but have been trolling around looking at what people have to say and haven't heard much about Sweet Sixteen parties.
Do people here do many of them? I am intrested in doing them for the business I am starting, but unlike weddings, have never edited one, so therefore have no samples to show people, though know I can do them. I have been thining about it and have (what I think at least) some good ideas for what to do with them. How would people suggest I get work doing them? Should I do one for free just to get a sample out of it? Also, any suggestions on where one could advertise for something like that? Would love to know what people here think. Thanks |

I would think giving away your first 3 or 4 to get your name circulating would be a great start.

nothing different than starting to do any other kind of work. Network with photogs, venues where they hold sweet sixteens, part shops etc. Blakes suggestion of giving away acouple to get started is a good idea.
Let everyone know what you do. Keep business cards with you at all times and hand them out to everyone you meet. If people don't know what you do they can't hire you. Don |
