On a trip to New Orleans I saw a film crew shooting in the French Quarter. One guys job was to keep the sidewalk wet, so I know what you are referring to. It does look so much better when it's wet. Since that time I have also noticed how the roads are frequently wet on car commercials. |

I agree, it does look better, but I think it's because we are all "conditioned" to think it looks better because we see it all the time. If the genius who originally came up with this idea never did think of it, none of us would be the wiser :) One can't miss something they haven't experienced.
