Dazed n Confused - Newbi Question

Ok this may not be the right place for this thread but...

I have edited a sample video with premier pro CS3. Now I want to upload it to my website and "embed" it. Similar to Patricks here: http://stillmotionblog.com/?p=420

So how do I do it? I have encore too.

thank you.

I'm not a website specialist but what type of website do you have? If it's based on wordpress, like Partick is using, it's quite easy to implement.

I have an HTML website. Yes I understand Patrick's is a blog, but I was just using it as an example.

Sorry, but I don't have any knowledge on dreamweaver or frontpage sort of sites and how to implement video there.

This is probably not what you are looking for but you do know that Wordpress nowadays can be much more then a "simple" blog? There are several themes out there now that look like a regular website but have many way's to organize your content.

Biggest advantage is that with all the plugins available for wordpress adding video/foto from any imaginary source is really easy, even if you hardly know php, html coding language. Maybe it's something to consider, just a thought.

You'll need to get the video into FLV format in order to stream over flash. Premiere may or may not so this... but I think its supposed to have a flv export right in the menu.

If not, you can use something like On2 Flix:

Here's a pretty good FLV player:

Google is your friend ;)

I use On2 Flix as well and it outputs very good quality for use on the net and allowes enough settings to determine end quality and size of your video.

Adobe encore however also has a very good flashencoder which allowes encoding completely with dvd menu, I have experimented with this in the past, it's quite slow on older machines but the output looked like a regular dvd menu were you could select your movies. Image quality was also very good.

I use the jeroenwijering player and I use Visual Hub to convert my Quicktime videos to Flash. I began using these after speaking with Patrick a while back. Initially I had some challenges getting the videos to convert well and getting them to play on my website, but everything is golden now.

Hello Noa, you can render an FLV out of Premiere. I use Dreamweaver to insert the video in the player and my webpages. Do you have Flash? You can import the video into Flash to add a player and create an uplaod file. I've used Encore too.

To be honest, I haven"t tested the flash export from premiere, I always had good results from on2 flix and embedding a flv file in my wordpress site is nothing more then uploading the flv file to my server and just add a link from wordpress to that flv file. Wordpress then automatically converts it into a file that plays.
