New Website Design

I'm redesigning my website a bit as I didn't really like the initial design (but it worked for a while). Now that I'm getting back into the swing of things and ramping up my advertising I'm trying to make my website look more professional. If anyone has comments on the design I'd appreciate it. At the moment there are no links, it's just a simple design layout. I'm going for a classy design that feels professional as well. Any comments are appreciated.

When I clicked on your link it came up to a black screen. I was like nice very simple (^_^) then the picture loaded. The starting design is fine it's a similar design to another videographer I know. Without seeing links and the rest of the site to see the continuity all I can say is the loading image looks nice. Also try to put up a about section, will help them get to know you a little bit and the history of your company.

Thanks Monday, I appreciate that. Sorry for the 'black screen'. Right now it's just a single image, so it takes a second to download (it's around 250k). I've been considering an About section and I do believe I'll add that. My wife and I do this together, so I suppose that might be good for potential clients to know who we are and what we can do for them. Thanks again. I'm not trying to copy anyone's design, so hopefully it doesn't seem too much that way. Though you can't really have a rounded rectangle anywhere and call it an "original design". ;)

I think you met your goal of classy but professional very well. Very nice and simplistic design. I did want to mention that when it popped up at first, on a smaller web brower, there was a random text that said "html" in the upper left hand corner. But when I maximized, it was gone. I assuming its at the beginning of your page and it dissappears cause its black text on black background, so maybe go check your HTML and make sure you have nothing open ended. Nice design though!

Thanks for the kind words on the design Dawn. I'll check the code, see what might be causing that mystery HTML to appear. Thanks for pointing it out.

Any other thoughts?
