How to utilize the save the date video
How are you guys marketing the save the date video? Is it being sent out instead of invitations or using a website to reserve the guests? I like the idea but unsure how to market it. As well how are you using a thank you dvd instead of thank you cards? Any ideas would be great.
Thanks |

Jason:
We have been doing this for some time now and we sell some of these as add ons. We store the clip on our server and give the client access to it to use and send out to family and friends. It is a great service to provide and look at the advertising you get when the video goes out to all those people. Even if you do it for free, look at it from an advertising perspective. John |

Hi Jason,
We sell the save the date video for $500 if they have purchased an engagement shoot. It is generally a quick shoot and a fairly quick edit- giving me more time to do something different with the hooting and coloring. The cli then goes one of three places- onto a DVD that is mailed to guests, on a website we make for the couple, or our blog. It usually makes it to our blog and that alone lets them forward it to everybody and get people excited. For us, it is just another way to get people to check out our work and for the couple to get their guests excited about their wedding. Patrick |
