A circular polarizer filter can help a lot depending on your angle to the sun. In regards to zebras, I always have them on . . ALWAYS. The thing with zebras is you never want to see them where the focus of your shot is. So if you're filming 2 people with a bright sky background, you don't want to see zebras on their faces, because their faces are more important than the sky.
