Hey there!

From one Don to another... welcome to DVInfo.

At first I was going to comment on how I love the color in the pics at the top of your site. Then I watched the trailer and I gotta say, I loved the color there also. What cam(s) are you using Don? I'll guess... Canon HD (?). What do you edit with? I'm shooting with Sony PD/VX but I expect I'll be looking to make a move to new cams about this time next year (maybe).

I've been doing weddings part-time for years (while working in non-wedding production and teaching production) but I just finished my first season with my new company that is doing mostly weddings. So far so good on my end but I still feel I have a long way to go. I hope/expect that I'll always feel that way. :)

Wow, you get that kind of color out of the PD?! I'm guessing there's a lot of color correcting going on there(?). I wonder if I can get those kinds of colors via PP2 (Premier). I've been happy with the color correcting I've been doing lately but I haven't been able to get anything that rich in chroma. Is that coming from Edius?

yes i color correct alot. i think every editing software should be able to do it. just need to spend some time playing with it. i'm don't know much about premier but walter chelliah uses it and his videos are great looking.

Hey Don,
I use the PD170 cam also and love it.
Can you tell me do you record in SD 4.3 or 16.9 in the cam?
If you use 16.9 from the cam how does this hold up on wide screen TV sets?
Do you see the vertical resoultion loss on wide screen?

Could you give me some insite on how you use your cam in these formatts please?

Love your work

Cheers
Simon
