What do you pay/get paid to edit a full wedding?
I am thinking of maybe a 1 hour loosely cut movie with chapters and a 5 minute highlight that is faster cut to music w/effects and nice titles. Trying to figure out what my time should be worth and what I might pay someone, if I gave them the 3-4 tapes and asked for finished work back.

I'm think this should probably be posted in the "Taking Care of Business" forum.
http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?f=40 It all depends on the market, really. If there are lots of good editors around, you'll need to be competitive. If you are the only game in town, you can charge whatever you like as long as people are willing to pay it. I charge $30/hr for editing. My hourly figures were calculated backwards. I used to charge per job. I figured out how much time I spent editing for what I was charging and did the division. That gave me my hourly figure. That's just what I think is appropriate for my area and the clients I am looking to get. Don't underestimate the value of your time.
