I managed to edit two weddings in 4 days, this past week, so they'd have them for Thanksgiving, including this one. For the first time, I included an outtake/blooper reel (skip to 19:10 for that, it's about 4 minutes).
I think it looks great, and at the 15:00 mark I also had a handheld shot, walking around the dance floor, rack focusing my 5d mark ii/50mm for 1:12, from couple to couple.
It was the first time I used our 14mm and I love it for fun dancing shots to get head-to-toe, though f/2.8 was a little dark.
I feel I'm finally getting a sense of our style with these edits. I've often fond of letting quiet, emotional moments linger, like the bride reading and choking up over something from the groom at 1:55. It was silent for 12 seconds. Or when the bride's dad wouldn't/couldn't talk at 4:34.
The reason for the title, Forever: Like Fuji Mums, is told at the 3 minute mark.
Sure there are still some mistakes, and some things I'd like to fix, but I did finish editing this in the car, at 11pm, on the way to my wife's family for Thanksgiving, then uploaded it the next morning via cell phone wifi hotspot so the B&G could have it to share with their family on the day.
