Wedding on a boat!
Noah Ruderman Noah Ruderman is offline August 20th, 2013, 10:20 AM

I just completed my third wedding film shot on a cruise in Newport Beach. It was my first shoot with 2 cameras (adding a 6D to go along with my 5D3) which really helped. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks.

Really liked the colour grading/sharpness of all your shots. Can't really criticize or nitpick on anything as I wasn't bored watching it ... may be because the wedding was on a cruise boat; something that I haven't seen yet!

Well done.

Thanks James! I hadn't seen it either, let alone shot one. It was an interesting experience. Always nice to have a change of venue that you aren't used to.

Love the shot at 1:13 of the zoom/twist/focus onto the champagne.

Would love to know what profile you use and color grading you do. I desperately need to improve ours and was checking out Technicolor's Cinestyle. I think I'm just not being bold enough in post to try things.

Thanks Robert! I liked that shot a lot also.

I use VisionColor's Cinelook. (CineLook | VisionColor) I think it provides a really nice cinematic look right out of the camera and while I still need to color correct & grade, there's less work involved then say shooting flat with Cinestyle. I do everything in FCPX, which I love.
