Re: J/L - Highlights
The reason why that works is because of the song! very nicely edited to the music. Love it.

Re: J/L - Highlights
Hi,
Lots of shots I found eye-catching or interesting. For instance, the shot of the number on the hotel room door as it opened (I've never thought to do that; I've always focused on the handle instead). The mirror balls from inside the elevator. Shots on the dance floor pointed upwards towards the mirror balls. Close up of mirror balls. And a wow image around 2:00, amazing pink background, and unusual framing -- cutting people off at chest and emphasising the roof with mirror balls. Basically, I really liked the mirror balls. Also loved the sharpness and colours of your images generally. I'm very envious. Have to say I didn't like the intentional jerkiness of the editing and the whip pans; sort of put me on edge; I wasn't convinced it suited the content or the music. But that's just my own subjective opinion; others will disagree. And you're right -- your video is different -- and I can appreciate the creaitivty of the choice even if I'm not personally a fan of the result. Thanks very much for posting! |

Beautiful location to shoot in! Hoping to land a wonderful reception location like this someday! I liked the editing style, there were one or two disorienting shots that I was not a fan of and a couple rack focuses that left my eye a little confused where to go but overall love the creativity.

Great imagery and loved the unusual cuts to the music. Kept my attention throughout the clip. Nice work!

Re: J/L - Highlights
Visually, this is one of the best collection of clips I've seen, and in most cases your unusual movements and reverses and cuts were very eyecatching. On the odd occasion I found them awkward. I have to admit, I wasn't fussed on the music. To me, the footage was crying out for music that was high energy and more like a celebration. But on the whole, it was fantastic!
