Yea, this is something I do in post to add a little movement within the frame of some shots when normally there wouldn't be. Sometimes its the very subtle details that help push the story. Thanks for the comments! |

It's beautifully done. With DSLR (not using LANC with camcorder), it's difficult to zoom in smoothly. That'll be a great trick used in HD video. In SD, there just not enough pixel to do this =)

Yes, it is a great little trick I've been using for a couple of years - but yea, it would need to be shot in HD. Also, you want to keep the digital zoom to a very minimum. The dz's I add are very subtle. You don't want to distract the viewer, just enhance the mood. And while doing this, retain the highest resolution.
