Hi all,
Just returned from an overseas job on the weekend at Indonesia. They wanted to have an SDE on their engagement party.. Thankfully we did it!
It was a very tough weekend. With the super high humidity, I'm constantly sweating like mad.. We started filming at 5am and by 12pm I was already exhausted I had to re-hydrate so much.. The house had three storeys too.. so I had to walk up and down every several minutes to make sure I don't miss anything upstairs or downstairs *sigh*
Also, one of my CF had about 4-5 corrupted clips! This was shocking as the card has been reliable so far.. was it the heat/humidity? I'm not sure.. :(
Showing SDE in Indonesia isn't that rewarding either.. Despite all that hard work, the crowds aren't really paying attention on the big screen.. probably because the venue was too big. I completely take my hats off to the local videographers.. it was a very challenging field to be working in.. I am extremely lucky to be working in Australia!
On the technical side, we used 2 7Ds with Tamron 17-50mm f2.8, Canon 28mm f1.8, 24-70mm f2.8L, 50mm f1.2L, 100mm f2.8 and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8.. and a steadicam merlin.
Please, any comments would be appreciated. :)
