Hi Gerald. I think it's pretty good for your first time, the picture is clear and you were able to capture the feel of the wedding day. I'm pretty sure the B&G will be more than happy to see this :)
My personal critique on the editing is after about 2 minutes mark, it gets less exciting. Perhaps because you've started the pace in the beginning a bit fast so when the pace slows down, it dragged the film. But I was completely hooked in the first two minutes. Congratulations on your first one! :) The wind looks pretty bad, how was your audio during the ceremony? |

Thanks Johannes, I must admit, all the way through the edit I was looking forward to doing the highlight clip, and right after I uploaded it and watched it back, I thought it looked rushed compared to the segments for the DVD which flow along nicely.
I will prob re edit it for the DVD. I am fairly confident of the next one being alot better, I couldnt do that many things wrong again, even if I tried, lol.

Yo Gerald... that was not too bad given its your first video plus i love that song!
Some of the things i noticed were mostly personal and subjective items like the lack of color, too many dissolves, cutting to the song was not on sync, adding some natural audio would have been nice too. I'm pretty sure you'll pick up a lot of pointers here by simply watching videos in this wonderful forum.. Cheers! Kren Vertical Video Works* Winnipeg Videography |
