A couple of different trailer styles
Aaron Jones Aaron Jones is offline October 5th, 2010, 06:21 AM

Hi guys,

Here are a couple of trailers we recently made while using the Canon 7D and 550D. Both have a slightly different tone in the edit, with the first being more of a fairytale while the other has the anticipation of fun. Would love to hear what you guys think about them.

If I may respectfully just express an observation that struck me as distracting and somewhat disappointing in the midst of a stunning production. The timing of some of the early cuts were too short for my preference. I enjoyed more the cuts that were just a few seconds longer. The shorter ones seemd abrupt with no ambient rhythm or content to justify their premature death :-). Now please forgive me for disparaging such nice work. (I also cringe at toes and armpits and bellies in my face). Please understand I have no comparable work to lean on, these were just some reactive thoughts, maybe I've misunderstood your request for comments. I do so from the humblest of humble rankings. Plenty of wow thoughts and impressions! The card opening, the buttoning, the tying, all very nice amongst your segments. Very nice.

Oleg, you are too humble sometimes.

Sam, thank you for your comments. I always appreciate people to offer their opinions whether good or bad. Even though I am my harshest critic, it is difficult to separate yourself from the edit and view it with fresh eyes. You have given me food for thought, so I thank you for that.
