Hi Serge,

Technically very nice work. I felt the shots were, for the most part, very nicely composed and clean. Color grading was a bit over the top for my taste, but that's personal directorial preference. I'm not convinced I'd be compelled to watch the wedding from this trailer, tho. I didn't get an emotional connection to the B/G - really smooth technically but not emotionally satisfying, for me anyway.

Thank you very much for your time, your opinion means much!
I think you're very close on feeling and absolutely right - I didn't concentrate on intimacy and emotional connection.

This is not the aim of a trailer (as I understand its aim). And this doesn't mean that there're no talks to camera, interviews, live action etc. All details follows on film. Maybe I'll try to show under password one or two fragments of more detailed documentary style film. ('think never did it on internet)

We're often used to see things as we prepared to see (many typical trailers're built over VO thread or some in this kind, or typical shooting style, typical music) All of this is a kind of fastfoodisation of our work. I know we're all in business so turnaround time is crucial. But....

This is just one of forms that I call "unique approach based on the certain day not on certain style". I'm working not for my promotion, not for my showreel or for advertising myself, but on getting inside the day with all its specifics. I'm trying to cut all unnecesary to have the salt of the day. And on such short form as trailer sometimes ingrained necessity of emotions can be replaced by intrigue or just beautiful shots. This is the matter of materal. Dependance on it, material driven work. So you may find my work not state myself as certain style maker. I'm traing to encircle every work by needed atmosphere.

I may seem justifying my actions ) Not actually, just some bits of my vision and opinion
