I liked the shots, but the music had me thinking their eyes were going to turn black and 666 would appear on their heads.

Hey John,
In helping to determine if your work is date, i would ask you to think about two things: (1) is this representative of the work that you produce today - in other words, could a client booking you today expect the same product in the future? if you're moving out of that style, it might be dated. (2) how does this piece fit into what is offered in your local market? if that style has been around for some time and you feel like you're on the tail end of it, then it might be dated. Hope that helps, jones |

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. I think the posts confirm how I feel about the clip. Whilst it works for some, and some love it, I think the use of the rays and random b+W are not what I want to portray any more in my work, or certainly to a lesser degree.
Having said that I also wanted to use it to show the variation in the work I do, in styles, and the fact that I can crank up the speed when needed and am not just offering your every day slo mo wedding dvd! I have had couples book not because they necessarily want that style, but they liked the idea that I did not stick to the tried and tested formulic wedding film.... mmmm.....I think you hit the nail on the head Chris...certainly has got me thinking. Thank you. |
