Samsung Syncmaster 940 MWP
I'm looking for a cheap on set monitor for framing and focus. The Samsung Syncmaster 940 MWP (19 inch 1400x900 screen with analogue component input) caught my eye.
Has anybody tried this monitor with HD-camera's in 720p, especially 720p25 or 720p50? Will it display pixel for pixel or scale? Will it display 1080i50?

I am in the process of finalizing which monitor to get to use as a secondary for the macbookpro.
I just noticed Samsung is releasing a new syncmaster next week. At least in Canada, maybe it is already available elsewhere. And I was wondering if it was worth getting to use as both video testing and production monitor. Samsung SyncMaster 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor (225MS) Input Connectors: 15pin D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI CVBS, S-Video http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...0086757&catid= It's not that cheap but if it could have a dual use, might be worth it. Anyway, I've been testing the Samsung Syncmaster 940 MW with a JVC HD200 in 720p25. The monitor displays 720p25 and 720p50 but the colours are way off (to be expected) and it doesn't show the full frame nor does it have 1:1 pixel mapping. Not recommended.
