HD to VGA via adapter box.
I have several questions to ask before buying a Super 8" Monitor.
This monitor has a VGA input and have native res of 800x600. It is a 4:3 monitor. I want to ask what if I convert the HDV signal to VGA with a adapter box. Will the aspect ratio still be 16:9 or it will stretch it to 4:3? And I want to know what is the use of S-video input? It will greatly improve quality? |

When using your s-video, your camera sends 3x more information to your monitor.
Could anyone tell me where I could buy a Mayflash VGA001 adapter? I live in Belgium!! |

S-video is SD, so you're better of converting HD-component to vga for viewing. S-video and composite look virtually the same over short distances. Piet, you can order the vga001 from:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...n-70-1d2s.html or here: http://sewelldirect.com/MayFlash-YPb...HV-VGA-Box.asp good luck, and don't forget to tell us your experiences with it! |
