It's a done deal, I just got back from circuit city and bought a Samsung:

I like it a lot, works well! Has the menu access ON the TV in case the remote sensor ever dies.. Also has S-Video.

I calibrated it the best I could and it looks pretty good so I'm a happy camper for $160 =)
