Any experience with the Panny BT-LH1700 LCD?

I've seen this monitor hooked up to the HVX and heard good things about it.

Goes for around $3800

I guess I'm wondering how useful it is with 1080 content through SDI as it will have to down convert. Also, I wonder what the life span of this monitor is considering native 1080 units can't be too far off.

Anyone have an opinion on this unit in 1080?

Using one at the moment and it looks great in 1080, you can see the downconversion sometimes but it's a pretty solid monitor.
