would this monitor work for me?

Hi everyone, I am trying to find a perfect unit for monitoring edited cuts, etc. straight from the NLE... Here is my choice:

http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/f...l_id=MDL101626

Could i please get some advice as to if the unit is correct for this job? Also should I opt for a HDMonitor since our work ranges from SD to HD., I'm a bit confused so any advice is apprecited..

Another instance that confuses me is the following product: http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/f...l_id=MDL101418

which is less pricier, yet has better specs...
