how best to view playback from HDV cams

i just bought a sony HC1 - have not recived it yet -- now i want a small (23-27 inch) hd capable tv to see the results of the quality of the tapes - the camera output says 1080i and it has lots of output jack choices: composite, HDMI, firewire, etc --- asking which output/input set-up offers the highest quality viewing. also asking if a CRT can really show a sharper/better picture than an LCD ? in particular -- i was looking at a sonyKDLV26XBR1 or a brand new model - sony KDL-26S2000 , and then for only about $600 / a samsung slimfit 27 inch HDTV which says 1080i --- all three do have HDTV tuners.-- any advice will be greatly appreciated
