Reference Monitor & HVX
I did a search, didn't really come up with much on this...
I'm putting together an HVX package and I'm trying to figure out the best reference monitor to get that dosen't break the bank. I looked at the Pana 17" LCD, but the fact that it's an LCD makes me a little leery, not to mention the price (though the waveform is attractive). I was also looking at 9" 800+ line SD monitors with component-in. What do you guys think? Any particular recommendations? Less than $1000 would be nice...

JVC makes their 10" HD monitor which is around $1100...problem is that it needs a 4 or 5 hundred dollar component card to take HD signal.
For $1500 or so though, I'd be very inclined to check it out.

Nate,
That sounds like a great setup. I looked on B&H and didn't see it. It's an HD monitor or a high res SD monitor? I would be upgrading from a nearly 10 year old 9" Panasonic (S-Video or BNC only, no 16:9) that will barely hold it's calibration for a week. So... pretty much anything is an improvement. Just to check, could the monitor that I already have be used with the HVX if needed (I may have to buy a new monitor at a later date)? EDIT: found it on EVS- this one, right? http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/m...Code=DTV100CGU
