HD Field Monitor
Can anyone recommend an HD Field Monitor? I'm not looking for the small monitors that can be mounted to the camera, but something 9" to 20" that can be easily seen by the client or crew on set.
Thanks |

The Panasonic BT-LH1700W sure seems promising. 17-inch LCD, SDI/HD-SDI inputs, a built-in waveform monitor, and support for most usual-suspect formats. And available with a Thermodyne case so it'll survive the trip to/from location.
Under $3000USD on the street (well in the stores, but you know what I mean). I'm pretty intrigued. More info here: http://tinyurl.com/936lf Best, Jim |

Bryan,
Have you looked at these? http://www.erg-ventures.com . I just bought one (the six inch) and it's sweet, very rugged. As for dependability, we will see. But so far so good. I'm new here, good to see HD pro's talking the talk. |

lcd
what's the retail price on that LCD monitor?
It says that it can't take HDV signals, but will take analog HD input, so i'm guessing that my Z1U can still be monitored via analog input... |

I paid 3500, I only use it to preview shots in the field.
