Opinions on Zacuto Flip Up EVF

Hi all,

I have been looking for any on-camera monitor/EVF that has the capability of showing an image superimposed over the live video. I gave up, then found out that the Zacuto has this feature, known as "Stored Frame". You can save a frame of the current video scene and have up to 5 (IIRC) stored in memory. They can be recalled and superimposed by a 50% transparency level over the live video coming into the monitor.

So, I am about to pull the trigger on this $600 item when I see lots of them up for sale. Lots of them. Have to wonder if there is some dissatisfaction by owners.

Anyone have experience with this item, both as a general purpose viewfinder for a dSLR and particularly the Stored Frame feature???
