Roku 4 will play 4K files

I just saw this new Roku 4 on their site. It will playback 4K files via USB. This is-was the missing link that stops me from considering an upgrade to a 4K HDTV.

Very nice!

Edit: I hate vague and ambiguous tech specs, but it doesn't specifically say 4K video files from USB.

Re: Roku 4 will play 4K files

Just fyi, I was just looking into this and apparently the Roku 4 *will* play 4k from the USB as long as it is h.265 and you have a post 2014 TV (and I think receiver, if used) that incorporates the 2.2 encryption standards.

Sadly my 50-inch TV does not have those encryption standards. :(
