excited again
When I was a lad of about 8 back in 1956 or so, our wolf cab pack was invited over to the electrician's house to see his newly acquired Television. We were arranged on the floor in-front of the wooden cabinet, given glasses of milk and a plate of cookies compliment of Fanny Jarvis. Red Jarvis (the electrciian) turned it on and we were presented with a snowy buzzing screen with shifting lines and after 20 minutes of watching couldn't see any recognizable images. We were 60 miles from the transmitter. Finally a few years later we were watching Pallidin and Disney in superb black and white. So it went improving and getting better so that High-Def is de-rigeur and everywhere and almost blasee. Yesterday I read where Dolby has done their magic with video and will be introducing technology to blow us away. A 4K set employing the Dolby tech will be near unbelievable in clarity. Be sorta like Reality TV but really.
