Sony monitor repair?

Hi guys. I couldn't think of another forum to put this in.

I had a crappy day a few weeks ago, one of the reasons being that my monitor (a Sony PVM 14M2U) fell off a dolly (the gear-moving kind), not the moving camera kind), and now is funky looking, with a bluish/purplish tint along the left side of the screen, that may or may not be spreading.

I was wondering

a) has anyone been in a similar situation, and if so, where did you send your monitor to get repaired, and for how much, and

b) Should I just eat it and look for another one (I got this one off ebay several years ago for what I consider a steal--$400 plus shipping--and it's always worked perfectly), or is it worth repairing?
