Replace Video deck
What is the replacement for the Sony HVR 15m? I no longer use tape but I need something to convey the editing monitor on my computer screen to the television monitor. Preferably with Hdmi.

Re: Replace Video deck
Hi Bill,
You're not giving us much to go on ;-) Mac or PC? Desktop or laptop? Which NLE? Video format? A couple of options come to mind, such as Matrox MXO2 Mini or BlackMagic Design Intensity Pro for instance. These devices offer HDMI output from Premiere for example, but also offer capture and playback via analog and HDMI for SD and HD video. Thanks

Re: Replace Video deck
It is a desktop PC using P. Pro with MXF, XDCAM EX, DVCAM and DV files.
I use a HVR-15m deck now and it will work with different NLE's and video formats. It is essentially just a pass through to show the editing monitor. I am looking for a replacement for "tape deck" to "solid state deck", I guess. HDV deck is getting old and I want to see a better picture while editing.
