On-Camera Monitors / EVF
I am upgrading my equipment, and am going to need an on-camera monitor. I am considering either the Marshal VLCD51 or the VLCD56MD. I will be attaching it to a Canon 5D Mk III. The 56MD is about $300 more than the 51, but offers better resolution (1280 X 800, vs 800 X 480) than the 51.
My primary reason for the monitors will be focus assist (both cameras have Peaking), framing, and lighting. Most of my projects are in set up environments such as studio settings. They are usually corporate videos, primarily used with internet delivery, and occasionally with BD. Question: Is the higher priced monitor worth it, or is that extra money better spent elsewhere? Re: On Camera Monitors
1280 is what you want it is sharp
lower resolutions are dismal by comparison |
