new Manhattan monitors

Has anybody used or had their hands on one of these: HD089C2 720p 8.9

They don't seem that expensive considering their size, resolution and available functions... Can't seem to find any reviews about them online.

Re: new Manhattan monitors

Not long after they started selling monitors I bought the HD089A for my Kessler Crane and I have been happy with it. I can't speak to these current models but I am sure they are fine. At that price point you have a lot of options though in 7" and 8" HD monitors so I would shop around. Particularly if you shoot much outside in the sunlight. You will want the brightest pic possible.

Really? I don't see a lot of 7" monitors around now days... I would rather buy a 7" then a 5.6". Where did you see a 7" monitor with a HD resolution offcourse?

Re: new Manhattan monitors

Sanjin,

If you are looking for the same resolution or higher as the Manhatten monitor you referenced you are correct there are not that many choices out there. The Ikan, Marshall, etc ones I was thinking of all are 1024 x 600 or 800 x 480.

Not sure what you are using it for but in addition to my older Manhatten 8.9" LCD that I like I have a COOLLCD7" LCD monitor that is 800 x 480 and because of the small size that is plenty of resolution for focusing and framing. I got it during an amazing sale for just under $200 including shipping from Hong Kong or mainland China (I forget which). I got it three days after I ordered it! That was many months ago and I just checked and it is no longer on sale.
