Marshal Monitor Color Accuracy
Hi all,
Just wanting to get some opinions here... I have a Marshall V-LCD70P-HDMI and when I saw it at NAB a few years ago, I loved it. I only have used it about 4-5 times in the past couple of years, but have noticed lately that the colors are awful. Especially skin tones, it seems like they are always on the orange/yellow/red side. So much so that I have been embarrassed to show producers the images in production. They always question if something is wrong. Now I've been around the block a few times, and yes My camera (Sony EX3) looks great in post and always happy with the image, but this is driving me crazy. I know that no LCD will have complete color accuracy, but I need a monitor that will at least get me somewhere in the ballpark. So here's my question. Could it be that my Marshall is defective? I have tried to contact Marshall to no avail. I'm wondering if there could be a firmware update, or if I just need to buy a newer Marshall or just another brand like Small HD... Does anyone know if the old 70P has a problem compared to the newer Marshalls? Thanks for listening, and I look forward to hearing any suggestions... Bob |
