Share / Freeware for theatre projection

Hi,
Am involved in a play that's using a projection area as part of the set. I'll be operating the playback of some 25 clips throughout the play, and I've been searching hard for something that will very simply:

Run on a windows 7 laptop
Output a full screen display to a projector VIA SVGA
Allow on the fly brightness/saturation control

Can anyone kindly suggest any programmes that may be suitable? Have trawled through VJ type apps and come across none that fit the bill on a very limited budget.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob, do you have a NLE on your laptop and if so, can you out put to a monitor?

If so, could you not route the output to the projector, put the films on the timeline and voila!!

We've done this with presentations and it works OK.

Sounds like you're looking for something like RV. Not free, but pretty affordable:
Tweak Software

Hi Peter, yes I have toyed with a couple of NLE's I have installed but haven't found one with on the fly controls during playback. Plus, I'm a little worried about screen output being "invaded" whilst in use, which I would hope you'd encounter less with a dedicated output - maybe being a tad paranoid here.

Arnie I'll give Tweak a run - looks very robust.

Thanks for your responses!!!
