On-camera LCD with video out
Hey all,
I've rented DSLRs for shooting a lot, but just made my first purchase - D60. So now I have to outfit it a bit. First on the list is an external LCD monitor - and I'm looking for recommendations. The two most relevant requirements are: - Takes HDMI in, and also feeds video out as a composite or SDI - at least 800x480 resolution (I don't need full res) Of course, I'm looking for the cheapest that meets my requirements. Any suggestions? I tried a search for this, but didn't have much luck... thanks in advance. |

Format conversion is a feature you won't likely find on any monitor with small and reasonably priced in its description.
Adapters to convert HDMI to SDI are available. You can see a list here - hdmi sdi I just bought the SmallHD DP6 and from the first impressions its a great field monitor. Not exactly cheap but reasonable for the quality.

Ruige has one.
It's called TL-480 or something and it has HDMI to HD-SDI conversion/loopthrough option. It will cost about 1200 USD. The monitor itself is 4.8 inches and with 800x480px resolution. You can Skype at John from Ruige directly at "johnvivi2003". He just today or yesterday mailed me the flier on the new HDMI to HD-SDI monitor. T |
