Monitor JVC TM-A140PN need opinion

Hi all,

Well I want to buy production PAL monitor, to support my new digital editing station equiped with Canopus ADVC110 converter and firewire card.
The budget is very limited, and I found this JVC model at a resonable price and abillity to get it without waiting.
Now I need opinion from 140pn owner, is that 320 lines enough to get quality picture.
Also I am wondering how does it compare to Sony PVM-14L1 model.

Any help to make a decission would be much appreciated.

Thanx
Darko

Darko,

the monitor you are talking about is just near me here.
for that money - it's ... i may say... proper monitor. nothing marvelous, but good.
you will get very greenish colors (at least in my case) and this monitor can't be used as something for color corrections (at least - as before - in my case) as a preview monitor - ok. as editing monitor - ok, but not for crucial color corrections etc.
you cannot compare it to sony monitor - when staying side by side - you WILL see the diference and in my opinion sony has far beter color reproduction. but costs more. that's it.

p.s. the folowing non english senetence is just info to Darko that i can speak in his native language. and that he can send me an e-mail in his mothers thongue instead of english - if he wish.

darko, ako hoces - mozez da mi napises mejla pa cu ti detaljno objasniti.

Filip you were right .... I've just arrived from local reseller and that monitor also gives greenish picture. Clear and very good picture quality, but the colors are not correct for me.
Now I have a problem, the budget is limited and it seems for that money I cant get better monitor.

Thanx
Darko
