one more note. the Dell 2408WFP, Samsung 245T, and HP LP2475W are all IPS panels. the HP is actually a H-IPS which like S-IPS but newer technology. these monitors share the same panel technology as the Apple Cinema Displays.

actually the Samsung is S-PVA technology and I'm not 100% about the Dell. earlier WFP models were S-IPS. read the article i've attached to help understand all the technologies.
