Great job.
I am trying to do the same, but have not figured out a way to power the monitor, once it is on the mount. Well, I know how to power the monitor, just not sure where to put the 12v battery, that will run it.

shoe mount solution for dvd player?
I am looking for a way to mount my philips portable dvd player to my cam's shoe without having to fork out $150 for a hydrostatic arm. I've found a couple of small mounts with ball heads for mounting off-brand lcds, but my main concern is the screw mount on my dvd player is in the middle of the back of the 7" screen. The mount that came with the player is flimsy plastic designed for a headrest, and useless for any other application. Can anyone direct me to a viable solution for under $50?
Many thanks!!!
