Using (or wouldn't use) a Varizoom/SWIT?

Given the high price and scarcity of Marshall monitors in the UK, I'm currently considering this monitor to use with my XH-A1 and Letus Extreme.

- Swit 8" TFT Monitor YC/Comp Canon

My main concern is focusing and I'm aware this comes nothing near to HD quality, but that's simply not an option for me at the moment.

Should I go for this monitor, or would you recomment something else under the $1000/£500 mark?

I'm no longer looking for an answer to that question, as I found a UK supplier who does a much better range of monitors (including Marshall and some decently priced used Panasonics) than most of the UK suppliers I usually deal with...

***On further inspection, it would actually be considerably cheaper just importing from the US (incl. VAT, import duty and shipping)***

Vinny, what supplier did you find? I am looking at a monitor for HDV focussing.
