Got a scratch on your LCD screen?
I recently scratched my 22" widescreen LCD pretty badly the other day during transport. The scratches were fairly deep and extremely noticeable during use. Reading about it online, the common suggested fix was--believe this--to rub vaseline into the scratch, and then wipe away the excess. It works flawlessly. My screen is as good as new.
Just thought this might help someone.

That is DIY on-set emergency repair at it's best! Handy trick to know! But I can't resist....
"Does anyone have any Vaseline on the set?!?" =) C

I would imagine there are some in a particular field of our industry where Vaseline is as common as gaff tape. That is just a speculation though.
