other than additionally torturing ken, i can't see any reason not to extend the sign-up deadline for 24 hours. we'll lock the sign-up thread january 1 at noon and announce the theme simultaneously. does that work? that doesn't change much.

Any idea what time this will be in GMT? It'll save me from logging in every hour ;-)

Yah. But I shoot almost entirely U/W and i guess you can use em, but only in some cases.
